The sensor detects current levels of sunlight, temperature, and rainfall and then transmits data wirelessly to the Smart Connect receiver (sold separately), plugging into the Toro Evolution Series Controller. This controller adjusts operating times to meet the optimal humidity requirements for the next watering day.
